What is S.O.A.P.?

Soap is a daily reading and journal plan.

The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2 that we are to be “transformed by the renewing of our minds.”
In reading God’s word, it helps us grow; but, it also helps us see things as God sees them.
When we face life’s situations, we will respond as Jesus did. Reading the Bible systematically; and, journal what we learned, will help us see how God is guiding us through life.

S- is for Scripture. Finding a verse that speaks to you in the daily reading for that day.

O- is for Observation. What is it about that verse that made it special to you.

A- is for Application. How do you plan to apply this observation to your life.

P- is for Prayer. Write out a small prayer about how to apply this to your life.

This is a program that we have started at church. If you would like more information or would like to start your own S.O.A.P. journal visit http://www.evineyard.org/lifejournal.asp for more information.
